Response to Alert Level 2 announcement

By March 22, 2020 June 17th, 2020 No Comments

We are aware of Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s message regarding the response to COVID-19. We will respond to the four stage alert system as deemed appropriate and will communicate any changes related to accessing our health care services when necessary.

As you might know, the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) has a 20 minute observational period for vaccinations (such as the Influenza vaccine). During this time, patients are observed within the practice (often the waiting room). As a temporary safety measure, the RNZCGP has advised the 20 minute observational period is no longer necessary. We will communicate exactly how flu vaccinations will occur in due course.

Please note that if you have a health need or emergency, health services are still available for you to access. Dial 111 in an emergency or call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 if you are concerned about COVID-19.

Do not present to the practice without prior warning.

We thank you for your understanding.
